Teaching Activities 

The Geology laboratory acquires different varieties of rock and minerals specimens, which obtained from both Hong Kong, China and other countries for training the students to have practical experience on rock and minerals identification.

The Laboratory also provides a lot of physical models relating to  the structural geology (fold,unconformity, fault and joint), the landform (Karst, Volcano) and Plate tectonics. In addition, the laboratory has a seismograph, which is an instrument to record earthquakes, for demonstration.

 The laboratory can also provide the training on map reading and aerial photointerpretation to study landslides, landforms and structural geology for geotechnical engineering projects.
